Standalone DS 1.7.6 app, Ubuntu Studio 22.04,

It used to work, but now when I try to add a library, I get this error : Sample Library Load Cancelled, Unable to parse XML from DecentSampler preset file.

Is there a way for me to fix this, - have I done anything that might cause this?

Hi,

I've the same issue.

It seems like to be a path format issue:

SAMPLE LIBRARY LOAD CANCELLED
Unable to parse XML from DecentSampler preset file: file:///tmp/DecentSampler/temp_93759c09/Layers%20-%20Froide.dspreset

I don't know why is he looking for the .dspreset file in the /tmp/ file while it's in my local  DecentSampler library folder.

(In my case I don't use DS in standalone but as Ardour plugin...)

EDIT:

Ok, I've finally found out that some .dslibrary doesn't work very well (like some can be loaded only once, some other just don't work) BUT if you extract those file into a new directory and load manually each .dspreset file it works better ;-)

Head to your Decent Sampler /Libraries, in file explorer.

Locate the sample pack.

Here, everything into one folder (delete the now empty sub-directories).

Rename the main folder (something simpler and shorter).

Restart the vst

That's it.
