Bass Station II by Decent Samples [Decent Sampler]

Description

In May 2025,  I went to the annual Superbooth synthesizer festival in Berlin. One of the things I saw there was a beautiful new version of the Bass Station II. While I had some familiarity with the original Bass Station from the 90s, I had never touched its modern counterpart. I gave the instrument a quick spin at their booth and was blown away. I immediately asked them if they would be interested in my doing a video about it.

Over the course of two weeks, I played the instrument pretty much nonstop, creating many patches in the process. Naturally, these patches have now been turned into a sample library. This library consists of 19 of my favorite patches, as well as a full synth engine using the Bass Station’s raw waveforms. Beware, due to all the modulators being turned on, the last patch can be somewhat CPU intensive.

As usual, this sample library can be downloaded from within the Decent Sampler plugin, assuming you use the same email address for Patreon as you do for Decent Sampler.
