For the past week, I’ve been working on a video about the ALT, a beautiful ambient synthesizer from Cyma Forma. While I was working on the video, I spent a lot of time exploring its unique sound design capabilities and capturing its rich, evolving textures. Needless to say, I’ve also produced a sample library.
The first five presets consist of raw waveforms from the ALT. The sixth preset is a patch builder: essentially a conventional subtractive synth based on those same waveforms.
Presets 7 through 23 are experiments, most of which consist of running the ALT through various outboard effects. The vast majority of these are pads as I think this is where the ALT truly shines.
